Creating a Resilient Organization – Getting Ready for Post COVID-19

from Armaya Smith

OVERVIEW
Most organization are successful, even though there are irritants that hinder top performance. In normal times efforts are made to resolve these, and when they keep re-occurring, they are often tolerated.
In time of disruption, such as COVID-19, these inefficiencies in the organization are not acceptable. They detract from performance, and they contribute to slow responsiveness. The problem is that most organizations tackle these problems at the symptomatic level. They try to solve them through training and improvement in competencies.
In fact, these problems are a result of issues at the structural level of the organization. Participants will receive insights into the system issues they face and how they can be resolved to enhance accountability in the workplace and create organizational resilience to be ready for the bounce back.
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND
Organizations face unprecedented challenges in maintaining their businesses during COVID-19. They need to figure out how to maintain operations in very different ways so they can survive until the new normal. But even the new normal is not known, nor coronavirus (COVID-19) business impact.
Organizations must focus on getting their structure right, getting the right people into role, importance of problem solving skills in the workplace and ensuring that they have systems for delegating work and breaking down silos. Problems in these areas result in root cause issues that hinder organizational resilience.
It is important to act now, partly as a survival strategy, but even more importantly, to be ready for to bounce back when the recovery begins.
AREAS COVERED
Most organizations are successful. The unsuccessful ones don’t last very long! But even successful organizations have irritants that get in the way of reaching maximum success. In normal times these are accepted. Various measures may be put in place to try to overcome them. These measures are typically at the symptomatic level, so fundamental change is not achieved.
In times of turmoil, these irritants are magnified. The turmoil requires that everyone in the organization to be fully pulling their weight and to be focused on their value-added work. The irritants suddenly become hurdles and roadblocks.
What is one of the main irritants? The Owner is not able to focus on their value-added work because they are pulled down into their team members’ work. Why? Because their team members aren’t focused on their value-added work, and someone must do it.
So how do you raise the level of work so you can be confident your team members are focused on the right work so you can focus on yours?
In the webinar you will be introduced to the fundamental concepts that every organization needs to have in place including how leaders build the resilient organizations, importance of problem solving skills in the workplace and considering the ongoing pandemic, how to lead your company through the COVID-19 crisis. Address these things now so you will be ready for the bounce back.
