Join us for a delightful “modern-ish musical romance” about the roles we are born into and people we secretly wish to become. Unlock’d is a whimsical coming-of-age story which fuses baroque and classical with contemporary pop musical theater. Recipient of the 2014 Richard Rodgers Award, this original musical from the songwriting duo, Carner (a Falmouth, Maine native) and Gregor, premiered Off-Broadway in 2013. Rhyming couplets collide with a contemporary sensibility in this fresh, funny, and moving musical where "A Midsummer Night's Dream" meets "Mean Girls"!
Unlock'd is a musical collaboration between the USM Department of Theatre and the School of Music.
Sponsored by Richard and Edna Krull and Drs. John '90 and Elizabeth Serrage.
