Sea State Series: Aquaculture in Maine with Matt Moretti
from Linda VarrellPlease join us on August 29 for a repeat session of our all-new Sea State Series.
The program will relaunch with a discussion of Maine’s aquaculture landscape, as we invite local mussel, oyster, and kelp farmers in to discuss this growing industry alongside our staff experts.
GMRI staff experts will provide an overview of aquaculture in Maine. The overview will cover key species such as oysters, mussels, and kelp, aquaculture leases, industry obstacles, and the role of our organization.
We’ll be joined by Matt Moretti of Bangs Island Mussels. BANGS ISLAND MUSSELS are hand-raised locally in the cool, clean waters of the Casco Bay.
Note: Unlike in years past, we're offering Sea State as a repeat event multiple times throughout the summer. Learn more about this and other changes to Sea State.
