Lighthouse Legends, Lore & Haunts Cruise
from Sally LobkowiczExplore the legends and lore of Midcoast Maine’s lighthouses including a shore landing at the historic Burnt Island Light. Hear of the lives of the families manning these icons as well as some ghost stories of the lights. Place names are explained, also.
Your adventure will be guided by Red Cloak Haunted History Tours. Up to six lighthouses can be seen, depending on weather and sea conditions, including Doubling Point Light, Hendrick’s Head, Seguin Island Light (from afar), Ram Island Light, and The Cuckolds. The visit to Burnt Island will include landing for an up-close look at the keeper’s house and the majestic tower that is the only original lighthouse tower in Maine. A portion of your ticket price will go toward the tower restoration.
