Empire City Casino sponsors Untermyer Performing Art Council's Summer Concerts

Yonkers, NY—Empire City Casino, the largest entertainment destination in the northeast, returns as a sponsor of the annual Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s summer concert series. The theme for 2017 “World Fest” accurately encompasses the different cultures of the eight million visitors the casino welcomes every year, making it the perfect partnership. Now in its 42nd year of free and quality entertainment, the Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s passionate commitment to the arts and service to the people of Yonkers aligns with Empire City’s dedication to support outstanding community programs for the arts.

“We are honored to support the performing arts initiatives in our community,” stated Empire City Casino President and CEO Tim Rooney. “The Untermyer Performing Arts Council’s summer concert series provides wonderful, free, family-friendly entertainment throughout the season, and Empire City is thrilled to be a continued sponsor of the series.”

The concerts are free and open to the public every Saturday night through September 2nd at the beautiful and historic Untermyer Park located at 945 North Broadway in Yonkers. Among the programs on tap this summer are such diverse performances as An Evening from Bhangra (July 15th), Romeo and Juliet (July 22nd), the Yonkers Philharmonic (July 29th), The Dance Company of China (August 12th), and the Isadora Duncan Dance Company (August 26th).

Doors open at 7:30 p.m.; attendees may bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the performances comfortably.
