Bluets

from Lanie Zipoy

The world premiere of Bluets, adapted from the intensely personal book of prose poetry by critically acclaimed writer Maggie Nelson (2016 MacArthur Fellow), kicks off the Syndicated festival of new work.

“Suppose I were to begin by saying that I had fallen in love with a color…” Bluets takes an intimate, philosophical look at grief, loss, desire, healing, and, of course–the color blue. Actor Ellenor Riley-Condit and Leigh Hendrix translate Nelson’s singular voice for the stage in this world premiere solo performance.

The production team includes Phoenix Sweeney (lighting design), Adam Stone (sound and video design), and Jackie Rivera (stage manager).
