Beneficiary Planning: Tailoring Your Estate Plan to Meet Your Goals and Their Needs
from Timothy P MurphyBeneficiaries come in all shapes and sizes and many face situations in life that may require special planning. For example, young beneficiaries (and even some older ones) may need to have their bequests held in some form of trust to encourage them to pursue worthy goals and discourage poor decisions. Persons with disabilities, both young and old, may need special planning to protect their public benefits. Recent changes in the law offer new planning opportunities for special needs beneficiaries. Others beneficiaries may face addictions, financial difficulties or troubled marriages. In some cases, one or more children may have received substantial sums during the parent’s lifetime and the parent may wish to rectify the imbalance after death. Each of these matters can cause problems with one’s estate planning goals. Fortunately, they can also be addressed by careful planning in your estate planning. Similarly, in the areas of charitable giving, there are strategies that can not only benefit worthy causes you support, but also be done so in a tax advantaged way. We will address these and other beneficiary concerns during this timely workshop. Please register for a free seat at this link: (from )
