Once upon a time, a privileged Prince refuses to treat a poor Beggar Woman with kindness. She reveals herself an Enchantress & casts a spell on the spoiled boy that imprisons him in the body of a Beast. His servants are also cursed to become the objects they take care of in the castle. They are all doomed unless the Prince can find true love, Belle a spirited, intelligent young lady trapped in a rather mundane village surrounded by the ordinary & pursued by an arrogant suiter (Gaston). Belle gets through her dull days by finding adventure in books & spending time with her quirky, father (Maurice). He gets lost one day & wanders into an isolated castle to find refuge from a pack of nasty wolves. He becomes a captive to the castle’s lonely master (Beast). Belle finds Maurice & offers to become the Beast’s prisoner in exchange for her father’s freedom. With the help of the enchanted servants, Belle helps the Beast discover his inner kindness. But will it be enough to break the spell?
