At the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, we love the ocean. One of the simple ways many of us on staff like to celebrate that love is by jumping in year-round. Even when it gets cold, we just can’t stay out of the water!

If you love the ocean like we do, join us on Tuesday, November 28th at Willard Beach in South Portland for our 2nd Annual Sunrise Swim Event. Visit informally with GMRI staff, enjoy some coffee and donuts, take in the sunrise, and if you’re brave, take a quick dip in the water with us. Warm showers will also be provided.

We'll gather on the beach starting at 7:30, and plan to jump in together around 7:45, with President Don Perkins leading the charge.

Our swim is part of Giving Tuesday, a day to celebrate and support non-profit organizations. Support GMRI by making a gift and joining us on Nov. 28!
